Wilson, donning a pair of gold bell-bottoms with a white fringe vest over a western shirt, joined Combs and sang Lambert’s verses of the tune. The pair also flawlessly harmonized during the tune’s chorus.

“Outrunnin’ your memory is like outrunnin’ the wind / I can’t get where I’m going if I can’t leave where you’ve been / I see you in every sunset, every star in the sky / I hear you callin’ my name in the middle of the night / The longer gone I get on down the road / Reminds me baby, that there just ain’t no / Outrunnin’ your memory,” the country hitmakers sang in perfect sync.

Combs Recently Released A New Album Titled Gettin’ Old

The tour kick off comes just one day after the release of Combs’ latest project, Gettin’ Old, which arrived on March 24 via Columbia Records.

“This album is about the stage of life I’m in right now. One that I’m sure a lot of us are in, have been through, or will go through,” Combs previously explained. “It’s about coming of age, loving where life is now but at the same time missing how it used to be, continuing to fall for the one you love and loving them no matter what, living in the moment but still wondering how much time you have left, family, friends, being thankful, and leaving a legacy. Me and so many others have poured their hearts and souls into this record and I hope you love it as much as we do.”

Combs’ new album features 18 tracks, including his latest No. 1 hit, “Going, Going, Gone,” and fan-favorite tunes such as “Growin’ Up And Gettin’ Old,” “Love You Anyway” “See Me Now,” “Joe,” “Tattoo On A Sunburn,” “5 Leaf Clover,” and his infamous cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.”

The album also marks Combs’ first project with outside cuts that the North Carolina native didn’t have a hand in penning. “My Song Will Never Die” and “Where The Wild Things Are” are two songs on Gettin’ Old that Combs didn’t write in addition to his cover of “Fast Car.”

Gettin’ Old Is The More Mature Chapter Of His Previous Album, Growin’ Up

While Gettin’ Old was released as a standalone album, it serves as the more mature chapter of his previously released project, Growin’ Up. In fact, when placed side by side, the album covers connect as one cohesive image. The album art seemingly refers to the shift Combs has seen in his life, from his days in the bar scene, to a life that revolves around being home with his family in a house on a hill.

Gettin’ Old follows Combs’ previous project, Growin’ Up, which arrived in June of 2022. The project debuted at No. 1 upon its release and features the chart-topping hits, “Doin’ This” and “The Kind Of Love We Make” as well as the buzzed about tune “Outrunnin’ Your Memory,” a duet with Miranda Lambert, and “Middle Of Somewhere,” among several others.

Additionally, Luke Combs recently revealed that he and his wife Nicole are expecting their second child, who will join their 9-month-old son Tex Lawrence.
