This week Mace released its 'Closing the Circle' campaign. Circularity has a huge part to play in reducing our dependence on raw materials. Research from the World Green Building Council in 2023 revealed that despite covering 2% of the world’s surface, cities contributed to half of all resource consumption and a staggering 70% of CO2 emissions. In the construction sector, similarly to other fields, sustainability issues are increasingly on the agenda, and manufacturers of building materials are developing new, more environmentally friendly and longer-lasting products than before.
